Dear Vertical Transportation Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that after Covid-19 has weakened, next year we are finally able to organize Elevcon 2023, the 23rd International Congress of the International Association of Elevator Engineers! The congress will take place on June 20-22, 2023, in Prague, Czech Republic. The congress and exhibition of industry innovations are planned for three days at Grandior Hotel, a newly designed hotel perfectly situated in the city centre of Prague.

Because of Covid-19 the Elevcon conference was postponed since 2020. Last year the IAEE Steering Committee and the Elevcon congress suffered major losses: Mr. Ami Lustig who was the chairman of the Elevcon congress and the president of IAEE, as well as Mr. Joseph Stier who pioneered the establishment of IAEE and the accompanying congress Elevcon, are gone. This autumn, the IAEE Steering Committee selected Marja-Liisa Siikonen, M.Sc, Ph.D.,  CEO of MLS Lift Consulting Ltd. to chair the congress. She has extensive background in elevator industry where she has worked for more than 30 years.

You are cordially invited to share your experience, knowledge and opinions with your professional colleagues by presenting a paper at the upcoming Elevcon 2023. The papers and the abstracts already accepted for the congress of Elevcon 2020 are still valid.  A second call for paper is now open. Please submit a new abstract by December 1, 2022. Once your abstract is accepted, you are invited to send a full paper by February 1, 2023. The full papers will be peer reviewed by a Scientific Committee. As a new feature, also a business oriented session will be arranged where the latest innovations and products of companies can be presented.
